All admitted students are considered for financial assistance. Please note that departmental admission decisions are NOT based on finanacial need, but on academic merit. However, because it is very competitive, funding is not guaranteed for first year students, but might be available for second year students and beyond. This financial aid does cover all the costs of study in our department, plus a stipend adequate for living expenses.
Also, check Purdue's Graduate School website for more opportunities for fellowships and assistantships. The Graduate School offers many opportunities, resources, and strategies to assist graduate students in obtaining funding.
In order to be considered for departmental funding and university-wide funding, a complete application should be submitted by January 15th.
